It aims to provide students with ability to read and understand people’s behavior in organizations, the complex local and global environment in which organizations operate, and relevant analytical understanding of key accounting and financial data. It will also help in formulating business strategies and taking decisions. The programme is designed to actively encourage students to learn and apply key concepts in management theory in the context of their current employment and future career development plans.”

Training Objectives

The PDM has been designed to provide a broad introduction to a range of management subjects;

  • You will be introduced to a range of management theories, techniques and concepts, then encouraged to unpack them, challenge them, and question their relevance to contemporary society and different kind of enterprises;
  •  A variety of elective modules and a professional management project will enable you to focus on particular areas of management that interest you the most;
  • Teaching and learning processes will have special focus on issues and strategies to help the participants increase their value.
  • Successful completion of the Professional Diploma will enable you to progress to undergraduate studies with the SANASA Campus.

Expected Results

The successful completion of the PDM course will enable students

  • To present, evaluate and interpret qualitative and quantitative data;
  • To develop lines of argument and make sound judgments in accordance with basic theories and concepts of the subject area, and the ability to communicate them accurately to a range of peers;
  • To gain a range of personal and professional skills that can be used in a wide range of situations and contexts; and
  • To become independent learners or/and practitioners acquiring a range of transferrable and practical skills.

Target Audience

  • Three passes in GCE A /L Examination OR
  • GCE Ordinary Level plus SANASA Management Competency Certificate OR
  • Pass in GCE Ordinary Level with English and Mathematics and 2 years of work experience in a recognized
    business venture OR
  • Industry employees and entrepreneurs with more than five years of work experience subjected to an interview. Maximum no of participants per training is 40. Minimum no of participants per
    training is 20.
